WHISKY FEST SOFIA Festival etiquette and rules

The organisers will be sticking to the ETIQUETTE guidelines to ensure that all guests have an enjoyable event. The following policy has been put in place by the Whiskey Fest Sofia organisers for the safety and enjoyment of everyone at the event.

By buying a ticket for the Whiskey Fest Sofia, you agree to abide by these rules and ETIQUETTE guidelines which have been designed to ensure a convivial, safe environment for everyone at the event.

Etiquette guidelines:

Whiskey Fest Sofia unequivocally promotes and encourages responsible drinking by all visitors. More information at:

The legal drinking age in Bulgaria is 18 years old. Organizers have the right to request ID documents to prevent the admission of unaccompanied people under 18 at the Festival.

The Fest is all about fine whisky, education, fun and enjoyment – not excess. In this respect, the Whiskey Fest Sofia believes in quality over quantity.

We advise visitors not to taste whiskey on an empty stomach; visitors are strongly encouraged to eat before and during the Fest.

Visitors are encouraged to drink plenty of water in between drams and take regular breaks from tastings. Water is available at all Whiskey Fest Sofia stands, and water dispensers are located in the halls.

Volunteers will take care for safety of participants and exhibitors at the Festival, however we recommend you to take care of your personal belongings and not leave them unattended.

Visitors will not be served alcohol if they appear to have consumed too much.

In case of inappropriate behaviour, or in case of aggression, intoxication or indecency, you will be asked to leave the Festival and will not be re-admitted.

You will not be reimbursed if you were asked to leave the festival.

Do not carry into and out of the Festival area any empty or full liquid containers.

If you comply with the rules and etiquette, we guarantee a pleasant and memorable experience!
